A compassionate health care clinic free to working uninsured. |
|
Partners for Healing, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization providing compassionate primary family health care clinic free to the working uninsured and their families. Patient families must work or reside in Coffee or Moore County , Tennessee , and have family incomes less than twice (200%) the designated federal poverty level. Someone in the household must work at least 20 hours a week. There are forms (two latest paycheck stubs-including hours and gross pay, verification of address, and most current years tax return) to be brought to the clinic before, and a screening form (to be filled out by PFH staff or volunteers) must be filled out before someone is deemed eligible at Partners for Healing, Inc. Our annual financial budget is approximately $250,000, while the value of volunteer services and donated supplies and medications approaches $750,000. Partners for Healing, Inc. is a c ompassionate primary family health care clinic serving approximately 220 patients per month including these specialty programs:
However, the clinic solicits free medical services, and reduced rates from volunteer specialty physicians, medical clinics, and the three major hospitals in our area. Partners for Healing, Inc. receives the majority of its operating funds from individuals, churches, civic clubs, businesses, and grants. There is likely no other organization of any kind where the gifted dollar is better leveraged for support of the mission. Partners for Healing, Inc. was founded by Rev. Bill Starnes, Mrs. Fran Marcum, and a few local volunteers. Dr. James Lindsey was the first president of the organization. Mrs. Dot Watson and Mrs. Terry Lyles were instrumental in starting Partners for Healing, Inc.
