Kenneth “Kenny” Pace says he doubts he would be seeing another Christmas without the medical help of Partners for Healing.
While Partners for Healing, a free health clinic for the working uninsured in Coffee, Franklin, and Moore counties, gets most of its funding from state grants, corporate sponsorships and tax-deductible private donations, occasionally its own patients are in a position to donate substantially, too.
Kenny, one such patient, is a self-employed carpenter and builder from Franklin County who started going to Partners three years ago with a variety of serious medical issues.
“Partners for Healing has saved my life, so it’s my pleasure to be able to give back to them,” Kenny said.
“I can tell you where I’d be today if it wasn’t for them, and that’s in the ground.”
