Job Title: Receptionist

Weekly Hours: You will be expected to work, on average, 24-28 hours a week

Job Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Treats every patient with loving respect.
2. Greets and assist patients, visitors, volunteers, and the public.
3. Checks patients in and out. Schedules return appointments along with referral appointments for mental health,life coaching, ultrasound and mammograms.
4. Keeps appointments on schedule by notifying LPN/RN of patient arrival.
5. Answers phone calls. Takes accurate messages and routes them accordingly.
6. Prepare and process correspondence.
7. Maintains and updates patient charts by obtaining and recording demographics, personal and financial
information (This should be done on a yearly basis).
8. Assures documents are scanned into EMR and routed accordingly i.e.: results to clinician to review.
9. Operates and maintains office equipment.
10. Keeps inventory and anticipates needed supplies. Give the list for ordering to the Executive Director or provider
in charge of ordering.
11. Maintains reception area.
12. Attends clinical meetings.
13. Maintains confidentiality of patient and clinic information.
14. Builds and manages provider schedules through the EMR.
15. Maintains medical records in conjunction with other administrative staff.
16. Perform copying and faxing of clinical documents.
17. Sort and deliver incoming mail and packages to the right area.
18. Organizing administrative processes and executing administrative duties.
19. Supporting providers and the Executive Director in daily task.
20. Prints the following daily schedule for the providers at the end of each day.
21. Uses Athena Net Electronic Scheduling System with accuracy and maintains current information in the file.
22. Directs donations of in kind supplies to the appropriate staff member and adds donor name to data base.
23. Checks the schedule at the end of the day to ensure that all patients are checked out.
24. Directs all inquiries that require medical or eligibility information to the Community Health Worker or the
Executive Director.
25. Assists staff in finding information in the EMR as required.
26. Conducts all functions with excellent customer service skills recognizing that everyone is an individual of dignity
and worth.
27. Email review/reply in a timely manner.
28. Other administrative duties to support clinic functions as directed by the executive director.
Education: High School Graduate
Experience: Minimum one year of recent experience working with people in a healthcare field. Strong computer skills.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary
patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
Occasional stress from dealing with many patients and staff.
